UK eligibility

From 6 October 2019, all medical practitioners have been added to the Shortage Occupation List in the UK. This means that all medical practitioners are exempted from the Resident Labour Market Test (RMLT) and can apply for any specialty in any recruitment round, suject to eligbility.

On your application: select the relevant options under 'Right to work in the UK' section

At interview: show your passport and, Bimetric Residence Permit (BRP) or an Immigration Status Document containing evidence of your current visa status with issues ansd expiry dates. Please be aware that your Immigration Status Documents should include details of your sponsor on them.

Visa/immigration queries

The staff at the PSRO are NOT able to give advice relating to queries on immgration. We cannot give advice on whether your specific immigration status makes you eligibile, how you can chnage your status, how to apply for different types of visa, etc.
